Just got started on new meds Thursday for anxiety and depression I never like starting on the new meds because they make me feel awful and it began i can’t really tell what I’m going to get from it for at least four weeks don’t like this part

Unfortunately Veelala, it is not a quick fix but worth every moment as you

start feeling better. Try staying in a positive mood knowing that each day/week

gets you closer. Meanwhile, keep your focus on other things. The medication

hi Veelala,can you give us the name of the meds,as sometimes others can help .I hate the thought of going on different meds that the gp doesn't understand anxiety/depression---they are not interested -Citralopam ,was sprescibed for me last yr I read all the side affects and opted out.hope your feeling better soon.

never heard of the first one ,but know diazepam only too well,tranquilliser to curb anxiety,and im being weaned off it ---in fact ,have a struggle to get any help .Argora wou have enlightened you,hopefully you now have more faith in understanding these meds.

I'm in the same boat as you. the med I started takes 6 weeks to get to the full dose. ugh takes forever. hope they work for you

For anxiety you should find that diazepam is quite helpful and should feel some relief very shortly after first dose
