Just wanted to share a project I started up which has been helpful with my struggles. I started a journal where my first entry was just purely what I was feeling at my lowest point. Every entry after that has been quotes or things people have said to me that have helped me on dark days. When I’m having a really difficult day, I tend to go back and read that first entry and it allows me to recognize how low I was and how far I’ve come. It also reminds me that things happen for a reason and in retrospect I see why that occurred in my life and what I learned from it. Then I go and read the happy notes 😊. My plan is, when I have a daughter or a son and they are struggling, this is something I can hand down to them to remind them we all go through stumbling blocks to mold us into who we will become.
A simple favorite:
"I walk slowly, but I never walk backward"
-Abraham Lincoln
We make a ton of mistakes, but everyday we push forward because we keep fighting for another day.
Night everyone ! Had to post a picture of my pup snoopy. Maybe his crooked teeth will make you smile
