Oh no! I'm sorry people made you feel as if though your thoughts and feelings were not valid. Everyone disagrees at some point but it is how we disagree that others lose awareness of. Sometimes people listen to respond and not to understand but I hope you take time to heal and if you need anything do not hesitate! Much love!

Truly, I feel that people can get lost in the online aspect of responding to people and it comes across as them attacking our personal beliefs. Don't let people get you down ESPECIALLY in an online support group. If you want to talk about the particular event that made you feel unwelcome, I am all ears. Your thoughts and opinions are important and should be addressed as such!

I think I understand, TP. I was put down and eliminated as someone who could understand problems because I was too positive in my bio and not negative. But I AM a positive thinker for the most part. One person criticized me based solely on my bio...I finally inserted the emotional abuse from my dementia-stricken late husband so that similar minded people wouldn't draw the same conclusion and others with the same problem could pm me if they wanted to talk about it. But really?? Where does it say that our bio should be laden with every struggle and pain we've ever experienced? How is it healthy to live in the past? Aww....I'll get off my soapbox now.

I hope you have better experiences in the future...I've only had the 1 bad one. It hurts up front but then the hurt gradually fades with time. At least it does for me.

Hugs, Love, and Blessings...

I’m sorry your opinion wasn’t respected. Everybody should be allowed to have their voice heard as long as they aren’t personally attacking somebody. I was unjustly attacked on here awhile back but I’m over it. Don’t let one person ruin your experience here. Just ignore that person. They aren’t worth your time and effort.

Come on, TriggerPoint, you gave good advice, that's why I gave you a 'liked'. We all have to be a bit thick skinned here, give and take. After all we're all cuckoos, daft as a brush, that's why we're here😂. The lady was talking good sense too, we all have short fuses because of the anxiety. Do not retire for long, your views are always welcome here, a bit of adversarial exchange does no harm and you responded well.

TriggerPoint, that's what makes this forum work, the variety of ages and experience.

We all put our 2 cents in, hoping that the persons we respond to get back 5 cents worth.

Nobody is forced to take our advice. I've always said, take what you can use and discard

the rest. Not everything works for everyone.

Taking a little breather can help. (just don't forget to come back) :) xx

I'm confused, I think I missed something. What does age have to do with a persons opinion?

So I read the post you might be talking about. I don’t think that person was trying to put you down or attack you. Seemed like a very educated argument. They didn’t imply that they looked down on you bc you were older, just that bc you’re older, the situation is DIFFERENT. Not worse or better, different! I really think it was just a misunderstanding!
