Isolation is the worst thing for anyone living with a mental illness

Get involved with a support group

A connect group in your local church

Meet friends and newly aquatinted

for coffee or lunch

I will be starting a peer support group this spring here in Abbotsford BC

Please advise if you are interested in

Attending

Take advantage of this sunshine

Go for a run or brisk walk.

Listen to meaningful music that inspires you and that speaks to your current challenge or situation

Get showered and get out of your house

Remember that this too shall pass

Thanks for sharing your experiences with depression. It always helps to know there is someone like me in this world. I was diagnosed w/ Major depression 32 yrs ago & have also gone thru multiple inpatient txs, seen therapist & psychiatrists, taken antidepressants since then. I am now 62 y/o & find myself feeling more disconnected and hopeless than ever. Why is this ?
