I am just feeling relatively good about myself lately and I thought I would share some positivity today. I am in college, and academically I am doing swell. Last semester I made all As, got on the Dean's List with a 3.54, all of my current classes are for my major, I am a double major and I have a minor and am still on track to graduate, I am applying to study abroad this summer (I hope I get in so bad), I currently have an office job on campus, and I just got a volunteer research assistant job as well. Whew. Let's just say my schedule is jammed TIGHT.
I also plan on going to the gym more with my boyfriend, so that's something exciting to look forward to. And most importantly, I am making friends! Kind of. Let's just say I am doing so much better at talking to students around me and making connections. In almost every class, I have someone I have gotten to know and sit beside and have exchanged contact information (a big step for me). One of them, we even walk out of class together. We don't have aligning schedules so it's hard to hang out after class, but I will find a way lol.
But that's what going on in my life, I just thought I would share since this is a super high point for me this [academic] year. The rest of the year has been relatively sucky. But I'm pushing through and keeping myself busy!

Congratulations on doing so well in college. That period of my life was one of the happiest (even though I was broke). At one point I looked into studying abroad too. My university had a program where you pay the tuition and boarding for a student from Australia and they paid for the tuition and boarding for us. I just had to write an essay on how that would benefit my career. I could never come up with a good academic reason.
It is good to hear people post positive things. Thanks for sharing. 😊
