Anyone successfully tapered off of lexapro? Only been on it for 3 months but I’ve found a way to get over my hypochondria and panic attacks plus I don’t want to be on medicine anymore.

It is advised that we not give medical advice. I would ask your doctor how to safely taper off of it. I know it can be hard to get off of antidepressants at times. I wish you a smooth transition!

Hey! Thanks for your response. Typically whenever I feel like I’m going to have a “heart attack” I rationalize with myself. I put my age into perspective, the many test that I’ve done that came back normal and then all of the symptoms go away. I have to thank lexapro for making me think this way and it helps. Deep breathing works also my main thing is that I just don’t give my symptoms any attention anymore

Am happy for u and I bet it took sometime learning it. Because our anxious minds can get the best of use sometime and we always on the fight or flight mood. But that’s part of life we learn something new everyday. Good luck to u
