Precious Hope

It's more than a word on a bracelet,

Even more than a theme in a song,

It says, "No matter the fear, just face it

And always know you're not alone."

When you're scared, it makes you bolder.

It lets you know that you belong.

It's the warmth of a hand on your shoulder

When you're tired of being strong.

It's a heart that's bruised and broken,

But grows strong by the tears you've cried,

It's a calm in the storm of confusion,

Saying, "Everything will be alright."

It's the glue that will hold you together,

And when the storm rages on and on,

It says, "This storm won't last forever.

It's always dark before the dawn."

It may seem nearly impossible

To find the strength to lift your head,

but don’t look at what lies behind you,

Just stay the path the Truth has tread.
