I have a 17 year old cat that is actually my daughter’s. She moved out and left her cat lol. I don’t pay too much attention to her cat but every now and then I snuggle with her and scratch her chin. She’s a sweetie.
My BFF, you are a highlight in my day! Any day that has you in it is better immediately. So, make sure you enjoy your day because you deserve it! (((((((Starrlight))))))).
Rain is usually annoying because it limits me from going outside but on this day I'm having a relaxing morning and the pitter patter of the rain is very soothing.
thanks for that....and your absolutely right..... I find that this whole week I have done very well tolerating what usually sends me into a tail spin....
I am very happy to hear your dog came home...it's always such a joy....
Hi Starrlight, I've just come home from work in pouring rain, freezing cold, and when I open my door, my beautiful cat is there waiting for me, ready for a cuddle to keep me warm. She is the light of my day. Sending lots of love to you, keep shining bright.
I'm so glad your pup came home.🐶 I was told in group to try to find 3 good things that happened in your day... Doesn't have to be big things, something to made you happy or brought you joy/ comfort. To think of them before going to bed, it's suppose help your out look for next day. Help us focus on the good instead of the bad. I decided I'm going to write them down... I'm horrible at keeping a journal & only write when suffering, it will be good to see happy things. Big hugs beautiful friend. Enjoy time with your little one & pup.
Years ago, Alexandra Stoddard wrote a book about blessings. She suggested writing down 3 things you were blessed with during the day - even if it was 'thankful this day is over!' Much like your advice. I've continued, keeping the list of three in notebooks, and find it very comforting, on black days, to remember I have much to be thankful for. It helps a lot.
You are Awesome! I must say i am thankful for being where I am because when I go into the darkness I am not thankful ...I become in such agony that even the beautiful good things seem bad and sad and tainted, and with my perspective so off I am lucky to survive.
When I was working, there were times I'd curl up under my desk and hide! Your experiences ring a loud bell. I'm really sad you go through this. You are such a beautiful person, it's hard to imagine you have so much darkness to contend with. I did find that going over the good times I had written down helped me some times to realize that I will get through this bad time. I encourage you to try it. It'll also be a great way to record the growth of your little one. Then, you could write a life story for him when he turns 18, or 21!
My nieces and nephew came over to put the Christmas tree up..we still haven't yet, we are mucking around laughing and being stupid..we are all hyper around eachother..it's fun..we've probably said let's do the tree over 100 times..but we haven't settled yet.. we will soon..this is my highlight so far today
