Thankful

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

I found this quote today, and wanted to share it with all of you.

I see this happen every day here...it has happened for me.

Please know the power of your words...your kindness. It is beyond measure.

You are rekindling someone's inner flame.

You are shining light into darkness.

You are saving lives...

YOU MATTER!

Ah, Dominic, this is very good. I expect no less from you, and you do not disappoint. We all matter, and I am second (I like this movement).

in reply toBonnieSue

I agree.

We all matter.

You never know what a few words mean to that broken spirit waiting to hear them. Those words, simple and kind, can mend that spirit...restore hope.

And that person can pass that on.

Thank you for being you BonnieSue.

Great quote , Domenic.

It’s so true —-This forum is filled with beacons of light, represented by each person that offers comfort and/or reassurance to ones in need . Like lighthouses providing safety to those lost in a storm.

Thanks for being that light for me , my friend

in reply toQuest4peace

And you for me, my friend.

That circle of hope...giving, then receiving, then giving again...will be the reason for many tomorrows.

I'm honored to have helped you

I'm honored to have asked for and received your help in return.

You matter.

I'm always here for you...not always strong. But always here. If nothing else, I'll cry with you.

Thanks. I can't sleep. Not sure if I'm more afraid that someone will come find me or if I'll keep feeling nuts enough to hurt myself. I want so much to believe that people are good. But there are some who seem to take pleasure in destroying this positive, hopeful part that I used to think everyone has inside them. I used to have it. Used to

in reply to

Nobody can destroy the good in you. It can get lost, forgotten...over-looked.

I lost sight of who I want to be for almost 20 years. I was consumed by a job and became nothing but the job.

The good people are out there doing good things. I have made the conscious decision to join them.

You matter Lisa.

I suffer from PTSD from childhood rape. I am 56 have been Anorexic for forty years. I have recently recovered. It will be a daily process to stay recovered. I will do just fine too. I know how a lonely and depressed person feels. I have been there for most of my life. I am very happy now. I made a quote. The beauty of a flowing stream of water is visible to the human eye. We as humans true beauty is within. There are people who are physically attractive. Some are very mean. Some are very greedy and do not care about anyone but themselves. There are people who might not be so attractive in looks. Their beauty shines because of what is within their heart and mind. Do something for you. Tell depression to take a long hike and never return. I love you and Merry Christmas.

I like your posts

I know the feeling of being hopeless.

It is the worst feeling I can imagine.

And I know also the feelings of compassion, comfort, kindness, and understanding...when I need them most.

For that, I have to be thankful...grateful...and in awe.

Thank you for your kind words.

You matter.
