I had the same symptoms when my primary physician diagnosed my anxiety. First, they performed some stress tests to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack and second I was prescribed an anti-anixety medication that I've been on for 10 years.

Meds have worked well for me but lately I've been having terrible anxiety attacks and again these anxiety attacks are affecting my life. I've been trying deep breathing and muscle relaxtion techniques and these help but still planning a Drs. visit.

I am sorry to hear that

I have been feeling this way for a year now but now that I don’t have my gallbladder and have bad acid reflux the burning sensation that goes up into my chest I tend to freak out thinking something is terribly wrong I hate this I am trying to get the issues with my stomach worked out but it’s not getting any better

I'd advise doing what I'm doing (fellow cardiophobe), which is basically rule out the possibility of a heart attack for a given number of years through testing. See, it takes certain circumstances to have a heart attack: clogged arteries about to unclog being the main one, and heart defects being another. If you get your bloodwork done, have a CT scan to check your arteries and an EKG, those tests all being negative basically means you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than having a heart attack. Then, when you feel something in your chest, you'll know it must be gas, or muscular pain, or something else benign.

Hi yes I had ekgs and blood work done for my chest and they said my heart is perfectly healthy

I suffer from GERD as well and makes everything so much harder when those pain in my chest and burning starts to come on it freaks me out and actually found out i do have Benign in my left breast 2 month ago that I had there for a while just didn’t notice until June but I know maybe I am letting my mind take me to a place I shouldn’t go I just want this to go away 😖
