I may be doing to much research on the internet lately but my anxiety and depression have never been so bad in my life and I feel like I am completely losing myself. I have no idea how to cope with this and it is getting really really bad lately. I think I may have bipolar disorder and I want to go in and get diagnosed or get help or anything but I don't know where to start. Someone please help me and give me advice on what to do. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with possibly being bipolar?

I think I have Bipolar Disorder
Well to start you should go for mental health issues check-up from your Doctor so you don't second guess yourself and always be worrying about something that may not be true so that is really where you should start I have been Bi-Polar since 1988 and on meds and I'm 66 now so god bless
Sounds like a different illness
Hello, I was finally diagnosed as Bipolar 11 when I was 50, it took a psychiatrist to figure me out. Before that I had severe depression, and mood swings. So if you really believe you are Bipolar, I would suggest you seek out a professional who is familiar with Bipolar. I am a one off, in our family, I have a cousin who is Bipolar, we both have treatment and it keeps us stable. Hope this is of help to you. I send you wisdom and ask you to look for help, do not waste time suffering. Sending love and hugs. ....... Sprinkle 1.........xx
Hi userkls,
I'm sorry that you're feeling so rotten. I'm bipolar II. You say you're losing yourself but nothing more specific. I might be able to help you but I'd need more information. The real expert diagnostician is a good psychiatrist...maybe even a bad one could diagnose you but I don't recommend staying with that one for ongoing treatment! ;o)
Since you didn't lock your post, it's available to anyone on the internet. You can PM (private message) me if you want to talk more about symptoms, etc. I'd be happy to do it.
Hugs, Love, and Blessings...
So sorry you are going through this right now. Do you currently have a mental health professional you are working with? If not, then go to your primary care doctor and see if you can get a referral. Are you currently taking any medication? If so, you may need to get that readjusted. Definitely reach out to a professional and don't try to self-diagnose or treat your condition. Whatever the problem, there is help available. Reach out and get the help you need. Here is a helpful document with more specifics on bipolar disorder. bit.ly/2AWBJ7F Wishing you all the best.
