Is anyone else struggling with health anxiety (i.e., hypochondria)? I am having a tough time with it. I have a 10 month old, and I keep thinking I am going to get cancer and die at any minute and leave her without a Mom.

Hey, I don’t struggle with this but I’m sorry to hear that you do. I would like to help you as much as I can though. No judgment, only love. Is this your first/only child? What triggers these thoughts? Have you seen a doc or taken medication for this?
Hi. Can you identify what started this feeling? Have you seen your doctor? You are not alone and there is help out there. It is so scary and overwhelming to feel like you are dying but it is your anxiety and there is likely nothing physically wrong with you. I just started this site a few days ago and there are a lot of people that can relate on here. When I had young kids I went through a bout of health anxiety and now years later is it back again. I am still alive too even though I thought I wouldn't make it and my kids are 25,27. Hang in there and message me anytime. I think it helps so much to support each other. Kristen
Hi- I understand how you feel and I’m so sorry you are experiencing these symptoms. I have suffered with health anxiety for years. It started after I watched a good friend lose her battle to cancer, leaving 2 young children behind. At the time my children were very young and I had the same thoughts you’re having now. My kids are older, but I still have the same anxious thoughts. I can’t tell you the amount of hours I’ve spent googling symptoms, convinced I was dying or the amount of money I’ve spent on ER & doctor visits only to be told “it’s just anxiety or stress.”
Health anxiety is real. The symptoms are so raw and can be downright scary. I definitely understand how you’re feeling. I have a collection of coping mechanisms, but some days the symptoms are really bad. The thing that helps right now is reminding myself it’s going to pass. And it’s true, it does eventually pass. Just know you are not alone. There are so many of us going through this... Hang in there 🤗
I also struggle with health anxiety. It is exhausting. It helps alot knowing your not alone. I have been using CBD oil, meditation, and journaling alot lately but still struggle daily. I'm actually on here right now because my face just started twitching and I was about to Google which always leads to the worst diagnosis and down the rabbit hole but instead I got on here! Hope you find some relief and know you can always send me a pm if you want to talk.
Hi there.... many of us suffer from that terrible illness. I started after watching my dad suffering with cancer. Now I feel that every little single thing I feel is cancer. I know how you feel, its overwhelming, is scary, you feel lonely, no body understands. I know I've been there. DONT GOOGLE SYNTOMS because that will only make it worst. Anxiety can be vary bad, it triggers muscles in your body, makes you feel pains, and all those things that just make your anxiety worst. But trust me, you are fine. Take some magnesium, fish oil, calming teas, write down feelings, change your diet, exercise frequently, drink plenty of water. I'm here of you wat to message me.
I was scared I had cancer, and it multiplied my fear 100 fold, I checked my self in to a hospital, everything came back good, im a 'healthy 26 year old' With mental health problems. Just something I have to accept, and work past, the fear of fear is what was triggering my panic attacks, have you seeked help?
Oh sad to hear that. But keep one thing in ur mind one has to die one day. And just keep thinking of it will make ur situation worst. So leave this thought aside and try to overcome this for the sake of ur beautiful 10 month old.
Hi, I am so sorry you are going through this. I recently lost a friend and have been dealing with major health related anxiety, I go to the ER constantly and every report has come back fine. I have learned through time that no amount of worrying can change the future, and most likely all the worrying I do is only going to impact my health negatively. I know its easier said that done, but know you're not alone.
