I have this problem. It seems to follow a pattern though. It happens when I have back to back panic attacks. I lost 40 pounds my doctors were worried ran a bunch of tests. Nothing is wrong other than stress depression and anxiety. Also, after my attacks I would have to use the bathroom. I am pretty sure anxiety can cause that. Now I maintain the little weight that I have by eating 4 huge meals a day instead of my usual 3. Sertraline made me gain a little weight as well but I didn’t like the other side effects. Hope you feel better!
Yes, it's from adrenal fatigue. When you are under a lot of stress for a long time, your adrenal glands are pumping out massive amounts of cortisol. After a while, they just wear out. I was diagnosed 8 years ago. I had to learn to change my lifestyle - avoid stress, caffeine, processed foods, white flour, sugar and pasta. It can be reversed or put into remission if you eat a lot of protein, vegetables and complex carbohydrates. Don't drink pop, instead drink herbal teas. I see a holistic doctor and take adrenal supplements every day. Google it. You can find a list of foods to eat or avoid and other recommendations.
