I had tried Cymbalta but it didn't work for me. But everyone reacts to meds differently, so it may be working for you, and anything anyone here says would not be relevant because of that. If your experiencing side effects or don't think it's working for you, it's best you contact your doctor to help you. Best wishes...
Thank you for taking the time to reply. True, meds affect us of all in different ways, and we should all try to not self doctor. Good wishes.
I think you are your own best advocate....I think a lot of people don't like to rock the boat and won't tell their doctor a medication isn't really working. But with these SSRI's they varry so much between patient to patient that it's really just a waiting game...2 weeks between each different med and then with each med you have to try various dosage....so it's a pain but well worth it as my stuff is better on meds than not. Many try CBD oil, and other various natural ways to deal with depression. But mine is so severe that I do need to take prescription meds....I hope yours works out well for you.
Hi, I have been taking 60 mg daily for 2 & 1/2 years now. I started taking cymbalta after being off work 6 months for back surgery. The surgery failed & my sciatica pain was worse than before. I was having anxiety about returning to work (my job is physical) & depression from having chronic pain. For me, it has definitely helped. Within a few days of starting it, I felt like somebody had turn the "lights back on". My Dr had said that it should also help with my sciatica nerve pain. It took a while longer before I noticed pain relief from the cymbalta. As far a side effects...dry mouth & excessive sweating are it for me. Yes, both are bothersome but I can deal with it. I hope me sharing my experience has helped you on some way.
