I can't stop feeling like this
Awww Lynsey 😥😥😥 I’m sorry. I feel down today too. It’s raining and just a blah day. But remember, it’s sunday and everyone is home bumming around. Maybe put on a movie. Try and distract your brain. I know it’s easier said than done. It’s also tough because there’s no perfect advice that’s going to magically make us feel better. But we have each other. And share, vent, get it out. Hugs 🤗
So sorry you are still feeling like this. I know this may sound ridiculous to you at the moment with how you feel but do try and do something soothing to you even if it's hugging a teddy or something like that; maybe manage to make yourself a comforting hot milky drink and a bit of TV if you are able. Try and distract as much as you can from these terrible things in your head.
Take care, x
Hello Lynsey, have you tried to do Crafts? I find that Knitting, Crochet, sewing, and drawing, take my mind of my problems, doesn't have to be very good. Also, listening to some Classical music can be very soothing too. Because there are no lyrics to follow. I hope you find something to help you. As Maria has said distraction is a big help. 😊✌️🌻

I hate to interrupt here, but please tell me how to make a blanket! Is that knitting or crocheting? I don’t know how to do either, but have a big desire to make a nice, soft blanket! This would also help me with smoking cessation since I would be busy with my hands...
That's a great idea n blankets feel comforting, I find. You can knit or crochet one. It's really not difficult, once you get the hang of it. You can find instructions to simple stitches online or buy a book. N either do Squares, n then sew them together or a large number of stiches n do all in one. I'd plump for squares if I was just starting. There are some lovely Soft wools about. It helps with intrusive thoughts because it gives your mind something simple, to concentrate on. N good luck with the packing in Smoking! I did it 15 years ago and I'm so glad I did. 😊✌️🌻
Thanks! 😊
We hear you, Lynsey... You're not alone. Can you think about something that makes/made you happy? And continue to absorb that happy time, really let it sink in. Also, maybe looking at pics of things you like? I love dogs and blue water so when I look at these in photos, I feel so much calmer. Try to keep yourself moving while ignoring the negative voices. With every negative thought, have an immediate positive one. It's a sure fire way to start changing the way your brain functions. YOU can beat all of this because YOU are in charge... Not the nonsense. I hope you feel better soon 💞
This is very good, solid advice Lynsey! Good replies here on your post! You have to block the negativity. Get out of your head...help someone less fortunate than yourself...focus on helping someone!
Hi Lynsey, I am so sorry you are having a rough time... Are you seeing a therapist on a regular basis? I hope you are because you need and DESERVE that help...also... maybe you wrote it in a former post==but are you taking medication? You definitely should be on some kind of meds to give you relief... Please know THERE IS HELP for you... your just really need to connect with the right therapist and meds... Wishing you all the very best... Take good care!
Getting view on my tablets and seeing my mental health team on Tuesday I going tell how badi I am
Wonderful! Remember that self-help is way more valuable than any medication they can give you! When you combine self-help and medication, you can be well on your way to happier thoughts and actions! Wishing peace of mind for you...🌺🙂🌺
I can relate to your pain. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and to put it bluntly, it absolutely sucks to be feeling like crap and have no control over it. During those times, I try to focus on taking care of myself. I make sure I get enough sleep, eat right, and exercise. I am also a little bit more self-indulgent during this time. Try and find activities that make you feel better, whether it is binge watching the latest reality show, writing in a journal, or playing Candy Crush. The objective is to make your heart and mind feel better. I would also strongly encourage to you to share your and feelings with a trusted friend, family member, or even a professional counselor. They may be able to help you put your thoughts into perspective. Just remember, you are not alone. I pray that your situation improves soon.
I LOVE your reply.
It’s about being very very pushy when it comes to getting better. It’s a really hard job. It’s a battle!
Occupying mind is crucial. Having people that will be caring and supportive is a total changing point. Mindfulness, slowing down and being more mindful in total is very helpful.
My depression was mostly beaten because of the people that were with me. And this forum was super helpful! I must say that it’s not an online place for me - it’s real people, my support group, my strength and hope. Tremendously helpful!!!!
Every one not feelings craps. Every one craps. I offer you take a big pencil when u on duty your hands which you use for writing. That fell you stronger.
