Help!

My Dr. said she would put me on Zoloft if I wanted to..she's encouraging it. Has anyone else been on this? I'm worried about the side effects especially that people have trouble sleeping on it because I already have a hard time sleeping! Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Yes, I was on it before. Not sure if gave me sleep problems because I already have insomnia. The medication it self didn’t help me. In your case if it’s working and perhaps get a sleeping medication added on

I will say this when

I first started taking medications. I couldn’t sleep I informed the doctor that I can’t fall asleep nor I can stay asleep and keep waking up...And they will probably prescribe you some type of sleeping medication to help get some sleep.

Talk to your doctor..For some people Zoloft works great and helps. That’s what they tell me I personally know them. However, there so many medications out there to try. Hope it helps!

Hi Friendsneed,

My daughter takes Zoloft every morning and it works very well for her with no side effects. It changed her life in a great way.

I asked about Zoloft a few months ago and it go mixed reviews. What works for some might not be the right thing for others.

I think that meds effect everyone differently, and it's why the only way to know for sure is to try...and give it the time it takes to be effective...can take two weeks before really knowing....and it's subtle...there's no 'Wow' factor...you just feel more levelled out.

Thanks..I just don't really know what to expect and I don't want it to make me worse...I don't know.

Been on it for twenty years. I do not experience any side effects. All you can do is try and if it doesn’t work then you can try a different medicine.
