Evening struggles
If you’re like me, the evening is when everything slows down except your mind. This is the time that distracting yourself from your negative thoughts is really useful. Don’t wallow in your depression or in worrying about the past or the future. Live in the present and think positive thoughts. Don’t let the negative overtake your mind. Engage in activities that you enjoy to distract yourself. If you can’t come up with any, then help someone less fortunate. Think about what all you’re grateful for. Staying grateful pushes out self-pity. It takes work and practice! You can do it! Wishing you the best 🌷🙂🌷
The evening can be quite brutal as you are often left alone by yourself. Your negative can consume you if you let it during this time. I am so sorry to hear about this. I hope you feel better soon and stay strong. I suggest watching a movie or reading a book in the evening to help calm your mind down and not have it wandering to the dark places. Evenings can be pretty rough for me as well. I’m forced to be alone with my thoughts. I found doing my breathing exercises or guided meditation during the late hours have helped. I’ve often fallen asleep while doing them. Reading is a great escape. Maybe an evening workout. Oh and I would also drink chamomile tea in the evening. That helps to relax me a bit. Fortunately this forum has someone on at all times. You can also post, even in the wee hours of the night. 😊
