Hi, it sounds like you had a really tough experience but a agree with. Alan234 don't let this put you off trying again. I think the suggestion of playing music might help while you are out. Maybe headphones on and listen to something that makes you feel good, tomorrow could very well be a better day xx
What sucks about anxiety is that, in my experience, I just kind of have to wait it out. The thing is to practice breathing exercises and focus exercises when you DONT have it so when you get the feel that it is coming on you are able to keep it at Bay.
Which I have not yet mastered. I can keep it at Bay but once I stop the exercises it comes back and full attack happens. Basically, I want you to know you're not alone.
But I would look into meditation for a long-term help. Shot term, I would say that you should try to reflect on exactly what it is that triggers it. If it is public places, or crowds, etc try to think of when it started.
Then you can train your brain to recognize that you aren't in danger. Remember to breathe and remember that you WILL be ok, it WILL end. It will be horrible, but keep reminding yourself that it will end soon and you will be ok.
Do you think it may be anxiety. I have severe anxiety and I can’t even hold a cup. Just keep the faith.
