Idk if this question has been thrown out there but has anyone ever tried CBD or Cannabis to help cope with anxiety, depression, etc? Did it help or not? The changes you felt?

CBD and Cannabis?
Hi,
I've never tried it, but I know two people who uses it for depression and anxiety. One uses it for both, and it helps calms her down a lot during anxiety and it gets her upbeat yet calm too when she is having depression. The other uses it for depression. He gets pretty sad and lonely, and it helps him get very happy and joyful.
They only do it once in awhile, when their symptoms are pretty bad. It allows them to handle their emotions a little better without their minds taking control and running their minds with negativity. I highly recommend edibles. From what they said, it lasts longer and it seems like that way. Just make sure you have food and water around when you take some.
I plan to use it in the future, but I am the paranoid type when it comes to just CBD, so they've told me to not take it. LOL. So if you are worried about taking CBD, don't take it, unless you're around with people who have taken it before. It helps relax you too. If your by yourself and feeling down, put a movie on that's funny. My friend says movies seem funnier than usual.
Hope this helps!
Hi, I had tried CBD oil and only worked for about a week, and with Cannabis I tried a couple of times and I don't care for it because I was looking for my mind to relax but, that didn't happen, but all you can try and I hope it works for you. Good luck and if it doesn't you might have to try prescription drugs which help me. Hugs to you.
So I used to self medicate with marijuana for about a year and while it did help in the moment, it only increased my overall feeling of unwell-ness.
I was really unhappy with my life at the time and the only thing that made me happy was weed. I was totally addicted. I knew it but I did nothing about it. It would calm my anxiety in the moment but whenever I was off it I just felt “blah”.
Eventually I had a horrible melt-down-like panic attack while high and it scared me so badly that I stopped immediately. It’s been over 3 months and I still haven’t smoked again.
I know quite a few people who smoke because they aren’t satisfied with their life. I also know people who do the same with alcohol.
That being said, make sure you’re going to be taking cannabis for the right reasons. Don’t just use it to suppress your true feelings. It’s just a bandaid; HOWEVER, it will help short term and if you need that right now then you should look into it and ask your doctor.
If you have any questions about it I’d be happy to answer
