I'm panicking today guys...I saw my GP a while back because every so often I was having small amounts of blood in my mouth when I would wake up in the morning...he seemed to think it was a dental problem....but I woke this morning with a larger amount of blood than usual and the right side of my neck is painful to touch and feels swollen....I have started panicking ...my hearts racing and the thoughts are ive got cancer or something...I too scared to even phone the GP....

Take a deep breath and close your eyes. I imagine that was really scary. Usually the simplest explanation is the best. The truth is usually easier to handle than the fears we jump to in our heads. Call your GP and make an appointment. It sounds to me that your lymph nodes are tender. Maybe you are fighting off a virus. Please let us know what the doctor says. And breathe!

Thank u :) Did feel really scared...was trying to keep calm but it wasn't working...I was going to google symptoms but I thought better of it....would only have made things worse...we sometimes jump to the worst case scenario with anxiety....I will let u know when I see the GP...Appreciated....

Hey,

Just take deep breaths. I am no doctor, but you may have hurt yourself while you were asleep and probably caused it to inflame and swollen up. Your doctor may give you some medications to help with the bleeding and inflammation (but I am not 100% because obviously I don't see you and I am not a doctor).

You got this. It's okay to feel scared, that shows you are human. I know it is scary to call your GP, but highly recommend you call him/her and talk to the nurse there. They are trained to help you so you got this and reach out to your GP.

I am glad it helps. If you are having a hard time still, I say go walk around the house, clean or reorganize the room. Something to help get you moving and your mind thinking about something else until you make an appointment.

We you able to make an appointment for tomorrow instead?

I will be given an appointment either tomorrow or Thursday ive been told...hopefully will get a better idea of whats causing the bleeding...I went out for a while then cleaned the kitchen whilst listening to the radio to keep distracted :) Thank u :)

I hope you are feeling better. It sounds like swollen lymph nodes which is just your body fighting an infection whether it be in throat, sinuses, chest, or even a tooth. My daughter is getting her wisdom teeth and she is having a lot of pain in her mouth and jaw with a little blood. Keep us updated. We are here for you.

You have to call your doctor to find out what's going on my friend. Letting something like that go is never a good idea. Don't put the cart before the horse until you doctor has a chance to find out what's going on. hang in there.

So scared my friend...Ive had some weird symptoms for a while but took it as anxiety problems...not the bleeding but extreme tiredness...and violent shaking in the body....the blood only ever happens in the mornings as if after ive been lying down...worried all day today...couldn't concentrate on anything....I have to phone Dr in the morning for an afternoon appointment...so anxious...I will try and keep calm my friend....:)

It is also possible that the blood comes from a nose bleed. It is good that you will be able to see the doctor tomorrow. If you have a tranquilizer, take one a little while before you go to bed and try to get a good night's sleep. xx

I understand how you feel. Take another tranquilizer. At least you will see him tomorrow. Just count the hours. I don't think distraction really works for what you are going through.

When you do see him make sure he understands how worried you are and can give you an idea of what is going on. Often doctors don't realize that the patient is worried.

I have written down on paper how exhausted and worried I am as I sometimes come across as not being bothered...or so I'm told...I mask everything I'm feeling due to my Aspergers.....I hope he can help..had trouble moving my neck today....My thoughts are spiralling today....I will take another Diazepam soon :) Appreciate your advice x
