Anyone with a good success story?

I could really use hearing about someone having some success with this battle. I usually try to stay positive even when I'm feeling bad but the past couple days have been horrible and all I can do is hide and cry. I am so exhausted and hoping a success story will give me some strength and hope right now.

Douglas Bloch on YouTube! Successful and inspirational. Helped me through my darkest days of depression.

I have just returned from a month holiday in Ireland, and we had a really hot first three weeks. Our first week was in a modern Croft type house, the next was an old thatched cottage on the edge of a Broad leaf woodland, around about half a mile of the road.

The fourth week was on the edge of a National Park, and we had access 24/7

All our places where wonderfully quiet, we never really needed to go into towns or cities, All we did was too visit Castles Churches and Abbeys also various open air museums, and take Pax out for walks around some lakes and beaches, we knew no-one and we were the three together, discovering new places and gardens. It was a wonderful place to visit the peace and quiet was felt by us all.

The problem is however we have to return to the place we live with all of its responsibilities. Although when we arrived home it was nice to just sit in the garden and view the plants, that were all in flower

I am so sorry that you are feeling down. I wonder if there is something in particular that you are dealing with or if this is a general feeling. Some avenues for success that you may want to try are: developing community and engaging with other people, engaging with God in prayer, journaling, giving up control, counseling, not comparing yourself to others, and having a purpose for your life outside of yourself.

Sorry to hear times are not as happy as they should be :( I am a very melancholy soul myself.. but, I have discovered painting 2 years ago!!! It is my absolute joy!! Apparently I have some talent and my work has touched some people emotionally. I highly recommend trying your hand at something creative.. if you haven't already:)

And poetry.. let your thoughts out. It's amazing what comes out!

Here is one of my poems that goes with a painting I painted last year.

SUNLIT RAIN

~ The sky falls, past the rays

of light that brighten the land below,

the smell of green and dirt, memories.. whispers of long ago..

The clouds part, the land is bright, and what a sight! These leaves dripping with golden light.. scattered all around from yesterday's storm, a carpet of yellow so deep, and so warm..

Nature's beauty through life and decay

Forever changing from then till today..

Washed away like tears in the dark..

What a beautiful day, for a walk in the park... ~A.T
