We had a racoon once in our compost pile enjoying himself. I tried to get a pic but he scampered into the woods pretty quickly! I have a ton of squirrel pictures. Small squirrel carrying and eating a mango about the same size as him. And the rabbits are back out again!!

I love it....we have pheasants here.....really pretty ones....and a hedge hog that comes up to the house, he was hiding behind a log outside one night and I got to kind of pet him...they are prickly....he was very sweet though...not aggressive. Once had a raccoon stealing my marshmallows off the camping table by the camp fire one night, I saw the bag slowly being pulled off the little table next to me, turned to see what it was and this little guy stood straight up and put his front paws up in the air,, it was hilarious, as you know they look like bandits..I just slowly handed him a marshmallow and he gently took it and ran off....

Thats awesome!! I've never seen a hedgehog up close. That would be cool to pet one! I'm a little jealous!! And your racoon story hilarious! They do look like bandits! But how could you pass up handing him a marshmallow! I probably would have gave him the whole bag! Of course I'd want him to stay and hang out while eating them! Animals are the best!

I saw an anteater once. I just thought they were made up in the cartoon world! I was glad i saw it though!

Very sweet experiences. My only raccoon experience was being bitten by a rabid one. I had to get the full series of rabies shots. You are lucky that rabies doesn't exist in the UK. (I am in the US).

oh geeezzzz....that is horrible....I'm aware that the shots are terribly painful....I so sorry you had to go through that.....
