Does anyone hate taking medication as much as me and always trying to get off of it only to find out I don’t do well without it? When do you stop trying to go off? I never can accept the fact I may have to take it the rest of my life!

Medication
I had to take sedatives once to treat insomnia and ended up getting dependant. Is it possible for you to get treatment other than meds? Give it a shot; my mother was addicted to antidepressants and it has now led to serious health problems and she's only 50
Oh ya!!
This is just my opinion. I think we need to think of our brain as an organ like any other. If we had something wrong with our liver, wouldn't we take something for it if it had the chance to help? The same can be said of anti-dep and anti-anx meds. I think, a lot of times, we think that if we take meds for these problems, it means that we're weak because we can't just make ourselves snap out of it. If you feel better with meds, then I would say that you should stay on them. Why be miserable if you don't have to be? They're there to help, and we should be doing everything possible to feel better. I've been on anti-depressants for years, and if it means that they'll spare me the hell of depression and anxiety, I'll take them until the day I die. Sorry if I sound so opinionated.
