Every day I drive with work with a knot in my stomach. My boss is very challenging to work for and nothing I do is good enough for him. The work environment is toxic and most people there are unhappy. Demand is super high and support or encouragement are super low. I’ve been looking but haven’t found any great opportunities. I make a 6 figure income but it isn’t worth it. I’m struggling - can’t sleep, drink wine every night. It’s killing me. I don’t know how much more I can take, but need the $$. Any advice is welcome! It’s affecting my health and I know it isn’t worth it.

I've been in your situation before and it was horrible. I couldn't breathe at times...felt like I was having a heart attack. I started taking anxiety meds (Xanax) that helped and also learned some anxiety reducing techniques. Counting backwards from 100 by 7s, grounding techniques, etc.
The saying if you don't have your health, you have nothing is very true. This job is beating you down fiercely. Before you do end up having a mental breakdown or a catastrophic illness due to the stress, you need to rethink your priorities. Escape before it's too late. I'm keeping you in my thoughts because I'm worried about where you are heading. Xanax is nothing but a band aid until a change has been made. Only you can do that. xx
