Day 6 hospitalization

Started off ok slept great. Anticipation of being released today is making my anxiety climb. Feeling a little depressed as well for fear the Dr will want me to stay until Monday. Did meds breakfast and two group therapies. Now the wait we saw the Dr come in. Two people have seen her and I’m waiting for Rec therapy to start this one is out side in the courtyard. As we start to go out they call me for the Dr. I am not trying to keep it together as I sit down. We talk and I’m being cheerful and say I’m hopeful for going home. And she says ok I will discharge you but you need to come back for outpatient therapy on Monday. I said thank you and I am really excited to get back to my group therapy as I have missed but first stop will be Starbucks. Dr P just laughed and said you are ready. Adios Copper Springs for now.

Good to hear that you're heading home. Savor not only the Starbucks "fix" but being with people in a familiar, comforting place. If the weather is good, take a walk with your coffee. Let us know how your first day back home and your Monday group therapy goes.
