Coming off Anti depressants

How long will it take for my weight to come off after stopping anti depressants. I’ve put on 5 pounds

In my experience antidepressants do not cause weight gain. To lose the 5 pounds you have to eat less, and could take about a month.

Unfortunately, it usually takes longer to lose weight than to gain it. Exactly how long depends on your eating habits.

Stopping meds May help from gaining. I’ve gained 80 pounds in 2 years. That’s not the only reason though. It won’t however make you lose weight. Believe me it’s harder to lose than gain. That takes diet and exercise with healthy living. Stress can cause you to gain. Just be careful stopping meds and never cold turkey. Best of luck to you!

PS: if you e only gained 5 pounds you are blessed. I could lose that peeing!

Eat lots of fruit and vegetables, whole grain, drink plenty of water and exercise. If you can't go to he gym, brisk walking is great for body and mind.

I know I can lose 2-3 pounds per week if I put my mind to it. That's without exercise.
