Ketamine treatment for depression and anxiety?

Does anyone know about ketamine treatment for depression and anxiety? Is it a good choice for teenager?

well, I had to read about this and this is what Webmd says: some therapists say they have had some success but, it hasn't been thoroughly studied for long-term safety and effectiveness, and the FDA hasn't approved it to treat depression.

Thank you for replying. This is for my daughter who’s been in depression and anxiety for almost 2 years and she can’t get out of the condition. She’s currently taking Lexapro 15 mg for about a month. I’m not sure it’s working or not. I heard of ketamine and some say it may become a miracle medicine for depression and anxiety since it will work much quicker than any other antidepressants specially people who are suicidal. And it may not be addictive if under care of medical professionals. I found a few clinics which do this treatment but the information is not still clear. As a mother of a teenager who goes through tough time, I just hate to see her being like that.
