I don't know how to handle situations and I rather avoid them than handle it.

Hello, what I've been researching and reading it seems I have bad anxiety and when I seem to have it under control it seems a situation will occur and put me in a bad panic. I can't get it under control when it happens and don't know what to do except sit in a bath for hours and I shake till I throw up sometimes. Normal life situations big like trying to buy a home and planning a wedding upsets me and small things like I started going to the gym and I'm pretty sure a guy is talking behind my b.f. and my back but I'm to cowardly to confront him and the way he acts make him inaproachable anyways and not knowing what I did to upset him or of I stepped on anyone's toes makes me uncomfortable. My b.f. could care less and thinks little of the guy and doesn't care for confrontation but I do. I wish I didn't but the thought scares me and I rather stay in a corner or leave. The guy even curses out loud and I can't help to think it's directed towards us. I've lost sleep and missed work bc I can't seem to shake it. I feel uncomfortable in my own skin and let things bother me forever, and avoid goals when they put me in a panic and or cause me to go in a fight or flight state of mind. I rather lay in bed and hide under the covers bc everytime I try to improve myself I end up right back where I started, going nowhere. College intimidates me, having kids terrifies me, moving freaks me out, I'm over sensitive and I'm my worst enemy. I want to go with the flow and see where life takes me but to scared of ppl and responsibility. I guess I don't want to fail or get in the way of others....I realize I've always been this way and it's just becoming worse.....

Hey :) what I’ve learnt and experienced is the more you avoid the more the anxiety goes up when you next try to face it. So were told about doing it in bite size pieces. Walk up the road on own.... then to post box ..... and gradually go further or do more. Set your own goals that suit you :) good luck

Hi colie sorry to see events you cant control are having a profound effect on you regards the guy at the gym please ignore him cowards like him feed of other peoples misery so just ignore him he will eventually move on to some one else thats what cowards do ! Dont think you need to confront him be strong and he will go away ! Make a list of things that are troubling you and work your way through them through time you will persevere take care all the best david
