I am brand new to this site and am hoping to gain some friends that share the same issues as me to help me get through this challenging time in my life. I’m 25 years old and have a beautiful daughter and the most amazing wife in the world. I just got diagnosed with major depression disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. The dr prescribed 20mg celexa that I am unwilling to take right now. I want to try talking about my issues first. Thanks in advance for welcoming me while I feel so hopeless and lifeless. I look forward to progress and meeting new people.

glad your here, and yes take your meds. they do help, but therapy is also important too if you have a therapist. If you read through some of the posts you'll be able to relate to a lot of what your feeling seeing others in similar situations. But one on one therapy I feel is important too because you get a professional explanation for what your experiencing and why.

I went through to your posts and understand the conditions (ie Depression and OCD) but you talk about the issues that are causing them.

You need to share your deeper feelings and concerns to get help. Otherwise, we are just generalising.
