Has anyone tried genesight.com dna testing to see what meds are going to work best with your makeup? My doctor is recommending it. Would be interested to hear if anyone tried it.
I have bad anxiety and panic disorder. Can’t leave the house hardly now. Even home I worry and panic.

Yes, I had it done. I believe it is quite expensive so make sure your insurance will pay for it. It indicated that I was not a candidate for SSRIs and recommended a number of SNRI's that were more suited to my genetic make-up. I tried one of the meds it recommended and it hasn't worked for me. I am about to try another. To my mind it may narrow the field but finding the right medication is still a process of trial and error. I am not sure it was worth the money.
This test is thru the doctor. Runs up to $330. But offers financial discounts. I’m so sensitive to meds I hope to just get a path to start. I’ve been taking adderall and Ativan to sleep. It worked great for years. Then I went off and restarted in Jan of this year. And just not having the same results. But I’m only on 5 mg of adderall so dosage may be the reason.
Hi. Ativan is being avoided a bit where I live, due to the sleepwalking, driving, etc. by some patients or people over 40,.Temazapam is an alternative that seems to be RX more.
If you' re talking about Ativan, how would you know if you are actually sleepwalking, and don't remember? Might be taking more in your sleep. lol. The other reason MDs are switching away from Ativan due to it's affecting the mind/brain over long-term use, as people are living longer so made testing possible. Temazepam is rx in 30mg and a small dose of muscle relaxer is sometimes rx with it.
Have you tried Alprazolam to calm you? I have 2.5mg. So gentle and so subtle. Suddenly you realize the sea is flat and not choppy anymore....without the side effects of the stronger stuff.
