Fluoxetine

Hi ive been on fluoxetine for 5weeks. Have stopped it 4 days today. Me & doc think i should come off it & c how i get on as my panic attacks have gone. I have been getting severe head pressure from the fluoxetine an it lasts 7 days thats 1 of the reasons i stopped taken the tablet. Does anyone know if il get withdraws from the fluoxetine?

Yes you can. I was on it for only 4 weeks. I felt withdrawal after I stopped taking it. My doctor said that was not likely, but I definitely had issues while I took it and after I stopped. It lasted for about 1 week after I stopped taking it. Diziness and headaches.. sense of separation from your thoughts and existence. I would suggest giving it a full week and see how you feel. Why would you just stop taking it if it stopped your panic attacks? I didnt find it effective for me so I am not on an anti depressant now, but thats me.

I was getting really bad head pressure & was always tired. Im pregnant so i had 2 think of the baby im just hopeing the panic attacks stay away also the headaches. So wer you ok after a week of stopping it?

Yes, the feelings and sensations associated with the drug went away. The good thing is you didnt take it too long so it will leave your system with a week or so. Just know you will feel better.
