The struggle is real

Hi I'm 32 and currently dealing with extreme loneliness and depression. I struggle with social anxiety on a regular basis mainly due to low self esteem and depression. I recently injured my back that requires a lot of medical treatments and its taken a toll on me mentally. Due to lack of family and friends for physical and mental support. Everyday is a true struggle.

Hello! I understand what you are going through and I am sorry. I too have had a lot of social anxiety. My therapist told me to try one thing at a time when going out. Whether that's talking to a girl or guy, going to the movie alone, going out to eat alone, or going to a crowded place with one friend and buying a drink for someone. Truly it works. You just have to be brave enough to try!!! I'm sorry about your back and medical issues. The hospital should support you and can maybe offer a support group or two for people with medical issues. Through that maybe you can find support and it'll be free. You just have to try your hardest every day. Start small though and be patient. You're doing all you can at once. People on here are so sweet! We got you.
