Face twitch

Hi, I am new here. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression last year but it has been going on longer than that. I have developed an eye twitch over the years. Nothing too major but enough to vaguely see. Recently it has moved to my cheek. Is this reason for concern? Could it be linked to my anxiety? I don’t have health insurance so i have been off my medication for about 2 months but I have felt fine until the last week and a half or so. Any advice helps. Thank you

DianaLauraM Of course, you should always see your doctor for anything different going on. I will however tell you that being off your medication for about 2 months can be contributing to the twitching. When I weaned off my benzo meds, the twitching started with my eye. All a part of the over sensitized nervous system. It came and went for quite a while until it eventually stopped once the lowered dosages were out of my system and my brain had time to heal. Everything settle down. Again that is just what I experienced. Hope it might settle your fears some. x

I had a twich last year on and off for a few weeks in my eye lid then gone now Just recently after a rough anxiety week i get small twiches all over just half a second. From what I read anxiety is the number one cause so I would not worry. Anxiety causes so many physical symptoms. And the more we worry the more we get.
