Has anyone here been in a relationship or marriage for 21 yrs and the last 12 has been hell?

Yep, . It was for 12 years and hell for ten before I left after I had raised my stepson. Was no picnic or place to be. Wasn't easy to start over with just about nothing, but did it, grabbing anything and anyone who could and offered to help. That's what survival is all about, yes?

That was over 25 years ago. Regarding him, have nightmares sometimes now still, but I married again after about 12 years to a man entirely different. Ironic, when things are difficult for me now, a friend reminds me that it could be much worse....I could still be married that man. Puts everything into perspective.
