Nighttime ๐Ÿ˜”

Hi guys. Over the last few weeks my anxiety has gotten better. I have a few good days then today I am having a bad day.

Last night I got really anxious about going to sleep. I didn't sleep until about 2.30/3 am. And so this morning I've woken up with anxiety and feeling quite low.

Does anyone get anxiety when it gets to night times? And does anyone have any advice or tips on how to make it easier?

Xx

Hey friend. For insomnia and anxiety I take cold showers in the afternoon and before bed. I also do a heavy exercise like running or weightlifting. Try going to bed earlier and getting up at the same time everyday no matter what. Listen to ASMR videos on YouTube. THEY help. Maybe join a group like Yoga or Therapy.

Thank you. I'll try the videos. How does a cold shower help you?

My partner and I are gonna do some yoga this evening.

Just when I thought I was getting better too ๐Ÿ˜’ How long have you suffered if you don't mind me asking?

Ive had insomnia for 2 years and I want to say it's getting better. Despite working a six day job I can still manage. I had to get a strict schedule and lifestyle that would allow me to be able to wake up energized everyday. There's a whole subject on cold showers on the internet but from my experience it helped bring me back to reality and helped regulate my breathing after the cold shock. Anytime I was angry or anxious I would look forward to hopping in the cold because it would slap me back into my senses. It can do both wake you up and make you calm. It'll take a week or 2 to adjust to the cold water but give it a try. I unfortunately stopped because its getting cold where I live at and my fibromyalgia keeps me from being able to keep warm sometimes. But do give the ASMR videos a try because I swear they are what helped me for the most part. Try listening to "Subliminal Frequencies" or "affirmations" for anxiety and insomnia as well. I think to some point they helped me as well. You can find them on YouTube. Keep us updated ๐Ÿ˜‰

My depression usually amps up after the sun has set and I've woken up in the morning (before the sun rises) with panic attacks or general anxiety. Sometimes if I can't sleep I'll get up prep stuff for the next day that might be causing me anxiety and then listen to a super boring audio book.

The cold shower thing is interesting too. Maybe I'll try that!
