Hi hr38, I just saw your post now and I know school is over. However, should this happen to you again, try not to panic but start deep breathing slowly. Using deep long deliberate breaths will restore the balance in your mind, body and heart. Deep breathe in slowly, hold for a few seconds and exhale long and slow breaths. No one around you will see what you are doing. It's a natural way to counteract anxiety. Practicing at home daily will allow you to automatically go into deep breathing mode before you go into an anxiety attack. The minute you feel it coming on, switch over to deep breathing. At the time you most likely were shallow breathing or holding your breath w/o realizing it. I hope you are feeling better this evening. x
