I think I need help

Hello, I am 17 I dont how this works but, a few months back a left my family to follow my dream, and ever since I've some troubles socially, emotionally with dark thoughs and long nights, I think I need help but I dont know what I have, I looked up to it and it seems like I have depression but I dont know, I want to know how to get better, thanks , I really hope I can get help

Sweetie, there is help available from crisis hotlines. If it were me, I would start by calling one of them, explaining how I felt, and asking where I could get free or low-cost help.

It will be okay. Just take deep breaths. You need some good people in your life to be supportive and to care about you.

Would it help to go home for a while, or did you in part leave to get away from your family?

If you have a particular faith, finding a nearby church and minister to talk to could be helpful. Most churches also have groups for people of all ages.

If you don't mind saying so, what was the dream you were following? That was a courageous thing to do. So many people never follow their dreams, and later regret it.

I hope you'll come back here and post. Lots of people are here who are near your age and will understand and have good advice. So, you are not alone after all!
