I am 60 , don't fee it , except bouts with anxiety and depression . I take bouts with it . I have triggers , and when it happens it's very bad . I had my first panic attack while out of state . Didn't know at the time what was happening to me . I was probably 25 or 26 . I developed Menieres a few years after that . I hate having this . No one seems to understand you can't control it at times .

My husband has Meniers too. It's horrible! He is managing it better now with a low salt diet and less fast food. He likely also has anxiety but not diagnosed. Just worries about so much, has GERD and other physical symptoms that correlate with anxiety. He doesn't listen when I suggest this, and doesn't talk with his doctor. Just takes lots of pills to treat his symptoms. Acceptance of the cause is half the battle and you have that won. Try whatever lifestyle changes you can find - meds are not the only answer. Therapy can help a lot too. And just sharing here can ease the load. Take good care of YOU ❤

I am an oldster too. I understand what you mean about anxiety and depression. I was reading recently that when some people age that can also be exasperated.

Hello My Heart goes out to you. I am stuck with the same affliction except I do not have menieres, my poor mother had it, and one of my best friends has it. I am 75 and going thru these battles on and off for years, I hate them, when I a free I am happy - but get afraid that they will return. I build up tolerance to the meds, then we have to try and find another one that will work. Right now we are trying generic Pristiq, Lithium (Iam Bipolar II) and Busbar, plus a CPAP to help get more oxygen to my brain. People are ignorant about Mental Illness and the range it covers plus Menieres. Ignore them the best you can, and if you do not have a good doctor find one. You do not deserve to suffer in Anyway. Read anything a quality you can get your hands on - I do. There is a Lot of Good info. on line. And remember we are here for you, we love you. I send peace, healing and serenity. Sprinkle 1.
