Has anyone ever tried dietary supplements to treat anxiety and depression? I've recently started using them under my Chiropractor's care. I've noticed a slight decrease in my anxiety. Hoping and praying that they work. I go back in 3wks for another appt. Also trying yoga and mindfullness. Anyone have any thoughts on these treatments?

What dietary supplements are you using? I tried a few but didn't seem to work. I am open to trying anything except antidepressants again. They make me way worse. I've tried multiple ones, and kept taking them thinking eventually they will work. I think a person should start to see at least a little improvement in 4 weeks time. I took each one for 3 months. Never again!
I am taking supplements made by a company called Standard Process. They have been around for about 80 years. I am taking Orchex for anxiety, Congaplex to build my immune system, Multizyme to aid digestion and Pituitrophin to regulate my hormones. I had to do my own research because I am not a big fan of taking any pills. Again, I only started taking them after my Chiropractor did Nutrition Response Testing on me to see where my body is unstable. I have a return appt. in 3wks. I am also seeing a counselor for past trauma issues and I am learning to slow down. I have a bad habit of spreading myself too thin which is one of my anxiety triggers. At this point I am hopeful that I will be able to continue with pursuing my dreams.
I know B12 helps and that vitamin D and calcium are important. An amino acid theamine is supposed to help relaxation. I definitely think.it couldn't hurt and meditation will help.with anxiety. So yoga involves meditation. So sounds good. I do.cardio.for anxiety relief the endorphins you get after are great. Melatonin helps me sleep.at night.
