nattybb, I would say "dry mouth" and I'm sure many will agree. x

nattybb, that's a difficult one to answer because we all react differently

It depends on the person, the medication and the dosage. sorry

No worries 😏 I’m just sensitive to medication

I am too. It took being in patient for the doctor to find what best suit me with meds as well as the dosage. Strictly a trial and error process. x

I was on Xanax for years and then switched to Ativan & Lexapro.

Got off the benzos and only left with Lexapro which is a god send for me. x

I agree. That’s what I was going to suggest. What may affect one person one way may affect another differently. I’ve had them all! Side effects that is. For me I hate taking meds that cause weight gain. I often don’t know until after the fact unfortunately. Until you try one you won’t know. They can also give lower doses etc. I have one emergency pill that gives me very little side effects. But that’s me. It also varies on size, medical history, allergies, diagnosis etc.

Xanax XR has been the best for me so far. Only made me a tiny bit drowsy.

Well the extended release was prescribed to me before when I was younger to take every day....

Xanax is very addictive and typically not prescribed for long term use but I know 2 people that take it. One who abuses it and one who is doing great with it. I have suffered for years! I finally went inpatient for two weeks during a very difficult time with my anxiety. They were able to adjust my meds accordingly during that time and it was a God send. I personally recommend it for anyone suffering from mental illness for an extended period of time. It is the best way for them to evaluate side effects and adjust meds and dosing accordingly. I was scared to death when I decided to go and I met some of the best people ever and it turned out to be a blessing for me!
