Im struggling with anxiaty and depression!! I have been on meds for two weeks but the celexa i am haveing problems with wakeing up with head aches and dreaming!! Also during the day my chest tightens up and is very painful like a heart attack but my blood pressure is fine. Shouldni stop taken it?

Celexa (Citalopram) is good for treating depression and anxiety. As with every drug there is the potential to cause side effects and each body will react differently due to biological differences.

Side effects may lessen if you persevere for another 2 weeks or so. Usually 4-8 weeks for full effects of medication to kick in.

If you find these side effects too difficult to manage, return to your prescriber for a medication review. There are about 20 different meds available for the doctor to choose from. Unfortunately, for some people it will trial and error to find one medication that works best for you.

I would talk to your doctor about it. Usually side effects happen for a little bit, but if it makes you terribly uncomfortable then maybe you should stop.
