Electric shock in my brain?
You should for sure contact your doctor about this asap.
I hope everything's ok, try not to worry.
I get a side effect from some medicines that are call "brain zaps" and that's what it feels like for me. Like a slight shock almost or a quick disconnection from my mind.
Hi. I cant be certain from what you describe if it is the same as me. But I experience what I describe as 'electric shock' type pains in my head. These are called neuralgia pains which can be mild or severe, and they can occur without warning and at random times. These pains can be independent from any other condition, or they can be associated with one. Neuralgia pains are not specific to anxiety, although anxiety can induce pains and illness..You should visit your Doctor who will be able to assess you. Medication is available to ease neuralgia pains, but depending on severity and reason, it can take time to find what suits.
If your pain has come on for the first time, you should see a Doctor as a matter of urgency to rule out it being due to anything more serious. But try not to worry, once you've seen your Doctor they will be able to reassure you..
If after visiting your Doctor it transpires that the pains you're experiencing are related to anxiety and nothing medical. Consider the reason for your anxiety and look to get help with it. There is a lot of support available from charity websites.
very best wishes xx
