How do I gain weight?

How can I gain weight? I have been eating so much and still manage to lose a pound. I feel like giving up.. Someone please tell me how to gain some weight..:(

Hi,

Having weight loss without trying is often cause for concern. There may be an underlying medical problem so I recommend a visit to your doctor for a check up.

If everything else is ok, a visit to a dietician might help you with WHAT you eat rather than HOW MUCH.

First of all before you go to docs for a check up , work out your body weight gender etc and work out how many calories you should be cosumeing a day , that's the first thing you need to do, i.e. If you are a male ,let's say you need 2500 calories a day to sustain your weight ,if you are female ,let's say you need 2000 calories a day, but check on a site called livestrong as their they have a calculator chart where you can work out your body's exact calarific requirements per day for you.

Then do this for a week and make sure you are consuming the calories your body requires and if you do this for a week and still notice you are not maintaining your weight well then a doctors visit might well be in order.

If you are very anxious and worrying all the time this releases diffract chemicals in the body and this will also burn many more calories than a person who is happy and contented.

These are things you need to take into account ?

Eat more carbs more bread and pasta and rice stuff like this should put weight on you under normal circumstances but I think you need to make sure you are getting your recommended daily calorific amount first and foremost .
