By now I think you have googled "clinical depression". I have had it for many years. I don't have answers as I am still fighting it. I have been to so many therapists and almost tried every antidepressant over the years. Couldn't handle the meds. They would work for 6 mos. to a year and then I would crash. My body just can't handle them. Almost 5 yrs. ago I broke down in front of my primary doctor and told him what I had been through. He started treating me with a mood stabilizer, sleeping pills, pain pills (I have chronic pain 24 hrs. a day) and Gabapentin which is for nerves in your body. My family and life background was enough to handle and as I got older (I am 72), but body pain increased my panic attacks, severe depression, anger, I have been agoraphobic almost all my life. Well with the meds from doctor, I have been able to do some days okay. I just think I will have all this crap for the rest of my life. I had tried different things to distract me and I just try to adapt which is the hardest thing as I have no support and am alone. I do Bible study on computer, play games, and I have Netflix and started watching documentaries and discovered that I had learned so many things I never thought about before. The distractions help me from falling apart by focusing on something else besides what was going on in my body and joining this site has really helped me to tell my story, get it out in the open and have nice people like you to talk to that can understand what I am going through and I am not alone.
You take care because I care about you and you might read something from all of us that might help. God be with you and give you the strength to keep going and learning.
