I have numerous thoughts of the past. These thoughts are from past mistakes. I get into a zone and relive the mistakes as if I made the better choice. This makes feel calm. But I know this is not healthy. What do I do?

If this makes you feel better than I don't see any harm in it. The only danger is if it stops you learning from your mistakes and moving on with your life. Then you need to take action.
You have to accept you can't change the past, only the future. Have a look at mindfulness as this is aimed at helping you live in the present.
ruminating is of course a symptom.of depression and anxiety. I am afraid what you can and.should do is GROW UP! As an adult you ought to talk to yourself (self therapy).
knowing not to worry about the past and all that goes with it is part of what makes one an adult. And even those of us with mental illness need to teach our minds, no matter how hard it may seem, this lesson. No drugs or amount of external therapy will help you with that. You and only you can make the choice to leave the past where it belongs and instead focus your energy on being your best in the present for the sake of the future.
