Getting better

Someone please tell how you got better? I can't stop being scared of the anxiety.

it's God's work not yours, you have to go along with it for the time being. Don't resist the spirit and remain under the pressure. You need to start thinking in the spiritual realm rather than the natural one. Your suffering is arising because of the spirit's work in your life

The INSTANT you stop fearing your anxiety and learn to accept it, is when it actually starts to slowly ease up. Your fear of anxiety is what is keeping it alive and kicking in your life. I can't stress that enough.

Also, you MUST work out what the actual source of your anxiety is. WHAT is it in your life that is making you badly anxious? When you discover that, you need to work on the problem.

Search for books by Dr Claire Weekes. She has helped millions over the years and it all starts with NOT fearing your symptoms but accepting them.

I know but I'm having a hard time excepting the symptoms. I don't feel joy I don't feel like eating. There's always a lump in my throats and fear in my stomach. How do you accept that? I can't stop the thoughts.

I don't know what else to say to you except that what I have suggested does work. I have severe anxiety and panic attacks daily. I am putting into practise what I have suggested to you mainly because my blood pressure was through the roof. There were times I thought I would have a stroke. I also suffer from chronic pain so anxiety makes it far, far worse.

Accepting your symptoms is not an easy thing to do but t look at it this way - what other options do you have? Do you want to live the rest of your life this way? Just put one foot in front of the other and keep going despite your symptoms. We here will support you all we can on your journey so please do keep posting here.

Also, I asked whether there was something triggering your anxiety, such as money, relationship, other health concerns. If so, you MUST address it otherwise your endeavours will be fruitless.

Finally, studies have shown that stress and anxiety are directly responsible for heart attacks and strokes.

Best wishes.

I read her book many years ago and got more scared because I couldn't stop fearing the thoughts. Now where it says if you are afraid of it it will get worse will not leave my head.

Sounds like you need professional help with this aspect. Are you able to see a psychologist?

in reply toLizbett

I see a therapist

Then be brave and listen to what people are telling you.

From memory, it doesn't seem you have family support. If you have other peole in your life, try to get them on board. Also utilise the Samaritans ... and this forum.

WORK OUT WHAT IS THE MAIN INSTIGATOR OF YOUR CONDITION and work on that.

Finally, your family needs to stop with the shouting and no-speaking nonsense. Time to put up up some boundaries that will suit everyone.

Not what you're looking for?
