I understand this feeling, when it is rough, write down a list of everything that you can feel grateful for. No matter how small or insignificant it may seem. The list will always be longer than you think. It always gives me a sense of purpose and that I am not lost in this big world.

I know exactly how you feel as I feel the same .I have started a course of CBT Privately So far I have only had two sessions .This is hard work as everyday you have to spend an hour each day writing down your worries .i know this sounds daft but I dread this hour as I find it hard to find things everyday what worries me .My Therapist says I have Health Anxiety .That is I'm worried I have things wrong with me but I know I haven't .The worst thing for me is having sleepless nights .Worse than that is I just can't get out of bed until lunchtime
I can identify with the bad thoughts. My therapist says they are only thoughts. I suppose that helps . I have OCD and depression. The intrusive thoughts seem to come more when I am depressed. Are you on meds? I am and I hope they are helping. The thoughts will come and go but I know they can be

Welcome! Are you seeing a counselor and a doctor? You sound like you need both. And the counselor won't necessarily make you do the homework that another person here has to do for their counselor. I never had to do it, so counselors vary and don't let that keep you from seeing one. You definitely need one ASAP. The Dr. too. Depression tells you lies and you not loving yourself much right now is one of them. That you are worthless is another. Ignore those lies. You can like yourself and you do have value as a person, never doubt that. There's only 1 you and you are meant to be in this world because we are better off with you than without you. There's a reason you are here. We'll know the reason as your life unfolds. Just remember the truth and drop those lies of depression. Everybody who's ever been depressed knows those lies, those feelings, you aren't alone in this. Get the help I've mentioned and hang on because it will work for you just like it's worked for me and plenty of others. Write again if you need to.
