Hi my name is yadi...im scared i have anxiety and not taking any medication..ive tried medication in the past and just makes me worse is this normal.

Give the medication a wee while too work it's normal at first too feel bad they do work ask for some diazepam while the meds start good luck Iv had it for 15 years I know what your going through

No that's not normal. Finding the right meds takes time. Try one, move on to the next. Try to be patient. Be well.

May I ask what kind of med you are on because I first started of with Prozac witch helps some people but it didn't help me I am now on Zoloft along with alot of other meds for a number of things but the Zoloft works best for me. I wish you Luck.

It depends on the medication. If it is a short half life then the onset of working starts sooner. That would be like a canal. However, some like buspar have to build up in your system for them to work. Some depression meds can help with anxiety as well. Benzos tend to be the fastest acting but are highly addictive. Talk to a professional and see what they have to say. Remember, not all medications work for everyone.
