Has anyone tried to use Kardia with pacemaker. I have read that it should not be used.

Yes and it works fine for both my husband and I. What you do get is some funny readings when your pacemaker kicks in - wide QRS with peaks that look like castles - so if you are completely pacemaker dependent or in persistent AF then I’m not sure that it would help.

Your pacemaker app or recorder will be very accurate but mostly you only get a report once every 6 months. My Kardia readings tally well with the pacemaker.

Thankyou. I was concerned because a google search said don't use and another said Kardia has not been approved for use with pacemaker. I was thinking it may be like blue tooth bathroom scales which apparently should not be used either. Not sure if it interferes with pacemaker. No I am not dependant on Kardia but having just had a pacemaker I am curious to know if I am in sinus or not as I have only been taking Pip medals.

I already had a Kardia I have been using for a while, just wondering if i could still use it. Looks like others are.

I know on a proper ecg I had some time ago each PM strike showed as a flat topped QRS. Mine is only working 18% of the time I was told on Thursday so not every QRS will show it.

Download the heart rate free app which will tell you your heart rate whenever you use it and put your finger on your camera lens as it tells you to do 😊😊

My Kardia chart looks like sinus but calls it unclassified probably because I have a left bundle branch block. A lot of the time it shows static whereas my Wellue device , Apple watch and blood pressure cuff show sinus as does the feeling in my wrist. I have taken these readings every morning for a year so probably have a good idea of what these devices do. I don’t think you should rely on them totally.

I now have an inserted Medtronic Linq recorder which likely gives the best indicator of what my heart is doing. If I have concerns, I can ask what it shows.

My pacemaker team told me the readings will likely not be accurate so not to bother buying one. Even the actual readings from my pm have a lot of noise on them.
