Mine did. It was already installed in the device. It is one of those coin sized batteries. You will see a cover for it on the back.

Hmmmmm. Mine doesn't seem to want to talk to my phone. App keeps coming up with screen "Get Kardia" which takes me to their shop. No other options.

Try pressing the back button when you get the message to get Kardia and hopefully you will see a green button saying take EKG.

It’s ok all and thanks for all the replies...works perfectly with my iPad...think maybe I’m not getting it close enough to the mic on my phone (I’m a complete tech geek but don’t understand how that works thought it would be Bluetooth!) so will try and sort that out.

On my Android tablet I have to turn something off to get Kardia to work, it was in the instructions I think.

Yes, I thought that bluetooth would be the natural choice. But no, it uses ultrasonic sound, and needs to be very close to the phone or tablet. I have been told that some high-end phones will not work with it because of the noise-cancelling microphone that they have. I would have thought that it would still work if it were oriented correctly. Maybe the noise cancelling also filters out high notes?

Mine has always worked with cheaper Android phones, and I have it mounted on the back of the gel case I use on my current phone.

I got a Kardia at the weekend and it wouldn’t work for me. Looked for battery....yes it was there. Geek son arrived and worked out the in order for it to work I can’t have it at the same level. I hold the Kardia above the iPad and it works! Brilliant, cos I’m having a 48hr monitor from tomorrow and from being fairly constant since March my AFib has (due to calcium blocker) almost gone! However I had 2 unexpected episodes yesterday.....I’ve been able to record these, email to myself and print off for Doctor! So pleased I got this device. Good luck to you.

Thanks again for the replies. NFC needing to be off would explain it, I use it all the time so it is constantly on.

Will stick with the iPad, works great with that although have to say I don’t have to hold it above the iPad I can put them both flat on a table and as long as the Kardia is almost touching the iPad and at the right end (opposite end to home button) it’s fine.

The App even reports a good signal.
